MISSION: To support excellence in education in P-H-M schools
History of P-H-M Education Foundation
In 1996 PHMEF was established as an independent, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting the educational mission of our schools. The Foundation develops alternative sources of income to support learning while strengthening the partnership between schools and community. Dedicated business leaders, administrators, and community volunteers, representing a cross-section of the school community, serve as the board of directors.
PHMEF supports education through awarding innovative teaching grants, scholarships to students, staff development and other corporation-wide initiatives.
PHMEF’s funding comes from special events such as its premier Silver Mile, Casino Night, Superintendent's Luncheon, Annual Drive, Naming Rights, Corporations for Education, Thank a Teacher, and individual donations.
VISION: Become a premier education foundation

We're excited to introduce P-H-M Education Foundation's new Executive Director - Jennifer Turnblom! Jennifer has a heart for service, a background in non-profit work and has three children in the P-H-M Schools system. She will bring boundless energy and creativity to the role as well as a proven ability to develop relationships and engage the greater PHM community in support of the district’s educational goals and mission.
In her own words "I'm very passionate about being able to fund innovative grants for schools throughout our district and making sure students and teachers in PHM have access to opportunities that will strengthen and enhance their experience through their educational journey."
The Penn Harris Madison (PHM) School Corporation promotes excellence in education throughout the 15 district schools – from elementary through high school - and provides exceptional learning opportunities for all PHM students. The Penn Harris Madison Education Foundation (PHMEF) supports the School Corporation in its pursuit of excellence by making grants available to PHM’s teachers and staff to encourage their passion and creativity in teaching our kids and by providing financial support for unique PHM programs like Penn Robotics, Visual Arts Academy and Running is Elementary.
