The mission of PHMEF is - To support excellence in education at
P-H-M schools.
Since its inception, many committed individuals, businesses, and
organizations have contributed time and money to support the
Foundations work, enabling the Foundation to disburse nearly
$163,000 in
creative teaching grants, scholarships, teacher recognitions, and
corporation-wide programs to support excellence in education at
P-H-M. In addition, numerous in-kind materials and
supplies, as well as volunteer hours, are donated by local businesses
and civic-minded individuals and organizations. |
Facts to Know and Share
- The Foundation was organized as a
non-profit, 501(c)(3)organization on June 24, 1996.
- Susan Campbell, Teresa Carroll (P-H-M
staff liaison), Mary Lou Deardorff, Tom Ehlers, Carolynn
Hahn, Bob Hoenk, John Hummer, Donna Kryder, Lynn Kuehn, Vic
Pantea, Dave Pittman, Barbara Reihl, Dave Sparks, John
Stackowicz, Mick Tuesley, and Beck Vervaet.
- Over 55 corporate and local
businesses sponsor the Silver Mile Health & Fitness Fair
along with Donna & Dr. Jerry Run for Education.
- A major goal of the Foundation for the
2008-09 school year is to conduct an endowment campaign that
will lay the groundwork for funding the Foundation in
perpetuity so that every dollar raised can go directly back
to supporting excellence in education at P-H-M.
- When the Foundation began June 30, 1996,
the Foundation assets totaled just over $2,200. Today, the
Foundation's assets exceed $138,000.
