About the Foundation

The Penn-Harris-Madison Educational Foundation’s mission is to support and enhance the educational experience of the P-H-M School Corporation students through grants to programs that exhibit innovation and creativity and improve the quality of life in our community through volunteer service.

The P-H-M Educational Foundation (PHMEF), was formed in 1996 as an independent, non-profit organization. PHMEF is the avenue for individuals and the private sector to develop positive and supportive relationships with the P-H-M School Corporation and to make philanthropic contributions to help accomplish the School Corporation’s goals. Dedicated volunteers representing a cross-section of the business and school communities and the community -at-large serve as the Board of Directors.

PHMEF’s funding comes from special events (Silver Mile Fitness & Health Fair, Donna & Dr. Jerry Thacker 5K Run/Walk for Education) as well as Indiana Garfield Education License plates, education partnerships, corporate sponsorships (Corporations for Education) and individual donations.

How can you help? Because EXCELLENCE today requires private funding, to reach our goals, we need your contribution of time, talent, and your financial resources. We hope that your family will participate in our fundraising events. If you are interested in volunteering or serving as a member of our Board of Directors, please call (574) 254-2893.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all donations are tax deductible, to the extent allowed by law.
