Howard and Ruth Hensler Scholarship Fund
Criteria:
The candidate must be a resident of Madison Township in St.
Joseph County. The candidate must be planning to attend a
postsecondary education institution. The candidate must have a
minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA (The scholarship is as equally
available to the average student as it is to the high achiever).
The candidate must show evidence of school or community
involvement. Immediate Hensler family, grandchildren or
great-grandchildren are ineligible to apply.
Award: $500 - $1,000 (The annual number of
scholarships varies year-by-year. Scholarship
recipients may apply for renewal for three additional
years providing the student makes satisfactory progress and
completes a Renewal Application).

Dr. Jerry and Donna Thacker Scholarship
Criteria: The candidate must be an excellent
student with great character and a good role model. The
candidate must be involved in extracurricular activities that
benefit the school and the community.
Award: $1,000 (1 available annually)

Penn Academic Competition Scholarships
Criteria: The candidate must have 3-year or 4-year participation on at
least one of the following Penn academic teams: Academic Spell
Bowl, Academic Super Bowl, Future Problem Solvers, Debate,
Knowledge Masters, Mock Trial, Quiz Bowl, Speech.
Criteria for consideration: Individual performance, contribution
to team's success/development, team leadership, mental attitude,
work ethic, time devoted, responsibility.
Award: Up to two $500 scholarships (annually
dependent upon qualified applicants)
